My name is Allison Miller. I am finishing my Master of Arts Degree (M.A.T.) at Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. Recently, I completed student teaching 4th grade at Westside Elementary.

My passion and enthusiasm for teaching is easily recognizable. I excel at building relationships with students and inspiring them to achieve a high standard of academic growth. My teaching philosophy is rooted in providing a safe, nurturing, and comfortable learning environment where students develop socially, emotionally, and cognitively through collaborative hands-on learning experiences. I challenge students and support them on their journey to becoming engaged citizens, problem solvers, and critical thinkers. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and running.

“A gifted teacher has an unfailing eye for magical classrooms & loses sleep over anything less than the highest quality.” -Carol Ann Tomlinson Hello!
